Speedcubing dreams, one cube at a time.

Throwback to My First Ever Cubing Competition! 🎉🧩

March 10, 2022
This is my first cubing competition video brings back so many memories! My dad drove me all the way to Queens for this on 5/21/2016, where I faced off against 350 competitors from the Tri-borough. It was loud, nerve-wracking, and so different from practicing at home, but it was the start of something big. It’s crazy to see how far I've come since then. Check out this blast from the past and watch my journey begin! #Speedcubing

Mastering the Pyraminx | 2016 At-Home Solve

April 12, 2022
I spent countless hours refining my approach to the pyraminx—a puzzle that requires both precision and strategy. This at-home solve captures one of those quiet moments of focused practice. While it may seem simple, the pyraminx has its own complexities, demanding careful planning and execution. Looking back, this puzzle was a stepping stone in honing my skills as a speedcuber. Watch and experience the intricacies of this early solve... #Pyraminx

11.6-Second Pyraminx Solve at Penn Convention Center | Feb 2018 Competition

May 20, 2022
At the February 2018 cubing competition in the Pennsylvania Convention Center, I completed a pyraminx solve in 11.6 seconds—alongside my cousin Zach, who traveled from Toronto to compete. It was an extra special day because it was Zach’s birthday, and my aunt surprised us with a cube-themed cake to celebrate! It was a memorable event filled with cubing, competition, and celebration.

2x2 Journey at Penn Convention Center

Aug 18, 2022
After mastering the 3x3, I moved on to the 2x2 cube, which may require fewer steps but is lightning fast to solve!

This video captures my 2x2 solve at the Pennsylvania Convention Center during the February 2018 competition. The challenge with 2x2 is its speed—everything happens in a flash! Watch as I race through this solve and experience the excitement of competitive cubing. 🧩💨 #2x2Solve #Speedcubing #CompetitionMoment

What is the Shewb cube?

October 21, 2022
The Skewb is a unique twisty puzzle that challenges solvers with its diagonal rotation mechanism, setting it apart from the traditional Rubik’s Cube. Instead of rotating along flat faces, the Skewb pivots around its corners, making it feel more like a pyramid in motion. While it retains the cube shape with six faces and eight corners, the puzzle’s movements are less intuitive, requiring solvers to think in terms of diagonal slices. With only four corner and four central pieces per face, the Skewb might seem simpler than a 3x3 cube, but its unconventional mechanics demand a different approach and specific algorithms. Its combination of simplicity and complexity has made the Skewb a popular puzzle in speedcubing competitions, where solvers aim for lightning-fast solutions.

What is the Square-1 Cube? See this demo

January 07, 2023
The Square-1 is a fascinating twisty puzzle that stands out due to its ability to change shape as it is twisted, unlike the traditional Rubik’s Cube that maintains its cube form throughout solving. It consists of three layers—two outer layers with wedge-shaped pieces and a middle layer made of two halves. As you rotate the middle layer 180 degrees, the top and bottom layers can rotate independently, causing the puzzle to scramble into irregular, non-cube shapes. This shape-shifting aspect adds a unique challenge, as solvers must not only align the colors but also return the puzzle to its original cube form before finishing the solve. The puzzle's unconventional structure and movement make it more complex than many other twisty puzzles. Popular in speedcubing competitions, the Square-1 requires both spatial awareness and a deep understanding of algorithms, offering a thrilling experience for enthusiasts who enjoy puzzles with an extra layer of difficulty.

Teach Mom How to Solve 2x2

March 21, 2023
In this fun at-home video, I solve a 2x2 cube while teaching my mom the algorithm, hoping she’ll master it! Sharing the cubing world with my family is always a blast, and it’s great to see how quickly they pick up on the techniques. Watch as I break down the steps and see if she can solve it on her own! 🧩✨ #2x2Solve #CubingLesson #FamilyCubing
